Collectors Note: Dating of the shaving pads is extremely difficult. As can be seen in the Men's Sets section, the Gentleman's Shaving Sets depicted in the 1910 through 1915 CPC Book catalogs indicated that a shaving pad was included in the set, however, no illustration appeared in the catalog. Then in the 1915 to 1922 Color Plate catalogs, the shaving pad to the below right (woman facing left wearing a bonnet) was illustrated with the Gentleman's Shaving Sets. The final years where shaving pads were part of the sets was in 1923 and 1924. The Color Plates depicted the Joe Jefferson shaving pad as part of those year's shaving sets.

Further Collector's Note: The 1914 and 1915 CPC Book catalogs indicate: Shaving pad of 50 sheets of paper, with attractive lithographed cover, given free with every can of Shaving Powder, Shaving Stick, cake of Shaving Soap or Shaving Set.
