A special class (in my own opinion) of CPC Awards were produced in the very-late 1920's to early-1930's, during the infancy of the Avon era. These awards were all chinaware: plates, serving platters, and gravy boats (found thus far). Admittedly, there is virtually no information about these awards other than a seemingly related passage in the May, 1929 Outlook:
"Golden Pheasant Dish Offer Expires May 31"
In April, 1928, we made an offer whereby every Representative who sent in a $ 30 net order that month, would have the privilege of making up the set of Golden Pheasant Dishes on subsequent orders.
We feel that Representatives have had ample time in which to complete their sets so we are closing the offer May 31
After that date no more Golden Pheasant Dishes will be included with shipping orders. Of course, if there happen to be a few Representatives still interested in completing their set, write us and we will send particulars on how to secure missing pieces.
The October, 1929 Outlook announced the conclusion of the Pheasant dish offer in an article entitled, "No More Dishes."
Though there is no indication that the above Pheasant dishes possessed the C P Co Avon mark, the awarding of dishes with animals/nature scenes is VERY similar to those items discovered thus far and pictured below:
