1896 Catalog Announcement Letter
Shown immediately below is a copy of the 1896 letter sent to the California Perfume Company Depot Agents announcing their new Catalogue [sic]. The first edition included 100,000 copies and these catalogues were to be sent to the Depot Agents as part of their next shipment of goods. One of the most interesting facts contained herein was the company's intent that these catalogues were be left with the customer in order to generate repeat sales!
